OVERVIEW

Kelsey Galbraith is building a diverse litigation practice based on tenacity, creativity, and hard work. As the director of operations and general counsel for an investigative media company for nearly five years, Ms. Galbraith gained broad experience in public corruption laws, campaign finance laws, Texas Ethics Commission rules, the Freedom of Information Act, the Texas Public Information Act, and a firm understanding of the public right-to-know.  In addition to practicing public interest law, Ms. Galbraith handles high-conflict divorce cases, and commercial litigation.

After graduating from the University of South Dakota with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science in 2012, Ms. Galbraith attended South Texas College of Law, graduating in May 2016. During law school, Ms. Galbraith served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Francis Stacey, United States Magistrate Court, Southern District of Texas, spent three semesters as an intern in the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, and actively participated in STCL’s nationally recognized Advocacy program Ms. Galbraith competed in five mock trial tournaments over the course of her second and third year, winning multiple top advocate awards. In addition to her work in the advocacy program, Ms. Galbraith was also inducted into Phi Delta Phi, an international legal honor society.  

In her free time, Ms. Galbraith enjoys the theater and traveling. She is also a classically trained pianist with more than 25 years of experience, a devout fan of all things horror and macabre, and an animal lover.
